The Church Open... Remotely. Quarantine or Not
Your church is open remotely every single day all day long. We never close. Your Pastor is at work morning, noon and night. You can Face Time him at any time for a face to face visit... The Admin Staff are hard at work with mailings, updating the directory, tracking mail both physical and electronic.
Your 'Church of Joy' intends to keep your joy going in these sad and difficult times. We are in this together. Nothing will separate us from each other and the love of God. During wartime, keeping from sinking into depths of despair is the main challenge.
The world has seen much suffering and confusion over the centuries and people have found strength in the words that God gives. Your God has some very specific words for you to uplift you these days...
Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength (Nehemiah 8:10).
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God (Isaiah 41:10).
I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand (Exodus 15:2).
The Lord is my strength and my song; He will give us victory.
We are 'community'. We have numerous communities at Good Shepherd, Pre School, Alcoholics Anonymous, Bible Study, Serving, Worship, Crafts... All kinds of community. These days we gather virtually. Soon it will be physically once more.
